Turning Japanese: Logicalis And Nottingham Trent University Join Forces For Strategic Collaboration
Slough, 16th April 2008 – International solutions provider, Logicalis, today announced the launch of a keiretsu-style relationship with its long-term customer, Nottingham Trent University. Businesses in a keiretsu agree to form a long term partnership where shared strategy, innovation, intense collaboration and a strong sense of ‘mutuality' take precedence.
Nottingham Trent University is one of the largest universities in the country, recognised nationally and internationally for the quality of its teaching, and producing graduates who are among the most sought-after in the UK. Logicalis already a long term partner will enhance the relationship by placing all of its experience and knowledge at the disposal of the university. It also brings two key IT manufacturers to the keiretsu: Cisco and HP.
Logicalis and Nottingham Trent University have already begun collaborating on the £70 million Newton Arkwright building regeneration scheme, with Logicalis' expertise being deployed very early on, alongside the architects and planning consultants. This early engagement means the new university buildings can have a state-of-the-art infrastructure, with unified communications and collaboration systems designed into their very fabric, and which will support an enhanced, interactive student learning environment.
