Physical and logical disk management provides proactive disk capacity management, both for real-time operations and long-term trend analysis and capacity planning. Metrics such as disk utilisation, I/O rates and any errors are monitored and alerted on.
Storage fabric management provides availability and performance monitoring of the storage fabric that connects your servers to your storage media, typically a SAN fabric. This enables both real time operational management and long term trend analysis and capacity planning. Metrics such as port utilisation and any port errors are monitored and alerted on.
Storage content management enables insight into the files and directories on the storage media itself. We provide not only visibility of this but also control via policy enforcement. This provides you with the ability to not only automate reporting about your data, but to automate actions within policies. Such policy enforcement could include removing temporary or duplicate files; or moving recreational or not-recently-accessed data to cheaper second/third tier storage.
