Unified Communications (UC) is a new banner for many technologies that have been in the market place for many years; IP telephony, e-mail, Contact Centre, Voice/Video and Web Conferencing. Additionally newer technologies such as Instant Messaging, Blogs, Wikis, and Social Networking are now included.
Mark believes that these technologies deliver tangible benefits in work, work-life balance, and the environment. He thinks that IT departments can define a UC vision for their business that has significant input from the business sponsors, a pragmatic roadmap of investment can be defined that can solve immediate business issues whilst providing significant long term benefits
Mark lives and plays in Brighton and Hove , with his wife, 14 year old daughter and 8 year old cat.
